Highly trained licensed doctor / physician in recovery helping other healthcare professionals with the aim to improve the lives of medical students, resident and physician by taking the stigma off reaching out for help. I too believed I was untouchable and it could not happen to me. Fast forward to depression, addiction, and entering treatment. Now I have taken my life back by embracing a better lifestyle. I quit my group practice and started on my own. By working the AA steps, I have been able to love life and fall back in love with one of the reason I became a physician in the first place: to help others.
Husband with 2 small kids, boy and girl, who likes to get on the floor and play. Spend quality time with his wife. The newest passion is training my emotional support animal that is my “shadow” who keeps me company all throughout the day.
