I am passionate about helping doctors thrive in life AFTER Medical Training as an early career physician directly via coaching and helping organizations with Leadership Development for early physician academics. My coaching services are Continuous Medical Education funds eligible for physicians in the USA. I am the Founder and CEO of the Early Career Physicians Institute.
I am a Certified Wellness Coach and a Certified Professional Life Coach. As a physician, I am a Geriatrician and Internist. I have also practiced as a Primary Care Physician at a large hospital system where I also gained experience in Quality Improvement, Medical Education, Peer Teaching, DEI work, and Wellness in Medicine.
Between residency and fellowship, I worked as a primary care physician for almost four years. During this time I went through the perils of burnout, moral injury and postpartum depression. I was overwhelmed, and exhausted, trying to do all the right things but feeling like I was failing at work and at home. I ignored not just my mental but also physical health for which I paid the dues later. After deep introspection from one of my lowest points, I worked towards healing myself – mentally and physically. My lived experiences drive me to wake up everyday with passion to help early career physicians.
