About the coach

I’m a former emergency department and family medicine physician, now a health & wellness coach based in the U.S. I rebuilt after my own brush with burnout through honest conversations about the kind of life I actually wanted. For years I was the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff; now I help build the fence at the top. And I’m still on call when life skids.

The art of medicine never left me. In coaching, it shows up as intuition, asking the right reflective questions that get to the core, and finding what truly motivates you – and what gets in the way.

What sets our work together apart: my commitment to your progress doesn’t stop when the session ends.  Sometimes that means targeted legwork, connecting the dots, a thoughtful introduction, or the one insight that makes it click. I’ll follow up with a quick message, or we can do a brief check-in by email or phone.

I work with clinicians at every career stage who want straight talk, assured confidentiality, and practical wins. I’m especially drawn to working with men in medicine and with physicians who are ready to reclaim their health, identity, and freedom for something more than a merely tolerable career. I practice whole-person coaching focused on your unique challenges and the sticky life realities we keep off the chart.

Professional background

I completed my medical degree (MBChB) and fellowship (FRACGP) in New Zealand and Australia with practice across academic hospitals and remote settings, including work with Indigenous communities. I coach physicians and other healthcare professionals, drawing on that experience and medical-related roles I’ve held stateside.

Personal background

I grew up in the U.S., and I’ve also called a few other countries home. I returned for the best reasons and the hardest ones – family, close friends, and the loss of a parent that clarified what matters. I’m a dad, not a stranger to burnout or the trials of divorce and co-parenting, and I care about the parts of life we often struggle to talk about.
