About the coach

25 years, in the trenches.  Front line, I understand.  I have been there. I can’t change corporate medicine but I can help you finally enjoy the life you worked so hard for. I love my clients. Coached hundreds of Physicians from all over, all ages, all specialties. I experienced burnout, got help, want to give back.

My super power is my laughter.

Professional background

I am a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician, Life Coach. I became an internal medicine physician a quarter of a century ago, and I worked in both clinical and hospital settings. My favorite was hospital work, so I transitioned into hospital medicine at my first opportunity. My job was wonderful and I felt honored taking care of my patients – despite the long days and long nights.

However, taking care of people while facing roadblocks and frustrations on a daily basis took its toll. I found myself complaining to everybody – including my daughter.

Physician burnout is real – I know; I’ve been there.  Working as an internal medicine physician for over 25 years I’ve experienced burnout that hits almost every physician at some point.  After finding someone that helped me, I committed to helping other doctors reset their mind, recharge their life and renew their careers.

Physicians think their only choices are leaving their job or keeping their head down and struggling until retirement. I help physicians with burnout who are stressed, overwhelmed, over-extended, and exhausted transform from feeling they have no idea what to do to find out their fundamental concrete values. With coaching, physicians can learn what their dreams and desires are to enjoy the life they have worked so hard for.

Personal background

Born and raised in Nebraska.  My daughter makes me proud every day and I am soon going to be an empty nester. She admires me for being a successful doctor, and I want to teach her by example that it is always possible to adapt.
